As of 4/1/24, I do not have openings for therapy clients.

My Approach

As a Clinical Social Worker (with the PA state board) and a Certified Sex Therapist (with AASECT), I’m excited to work with you with one of or a blend of three approaches: individual therapy, sex therapy, and/or relationship therapy. My style draws from many places, including my personality, my upbringing, my education, and Relational Therapy, a model for people who are looking to understand themselves and the world around them through relationships. It is built from the belief that as people, we make powerful meaning from our connections with our inner self, other people, and our environment.  Through this lens, we will consider the patterns from past and your current relationships, so that we can affect connections in the future.

Individual Therapy

I offer one-on-one therapy for adults and my practice is totally online. I find that this gives my clients more space to fit therapy into their life, and more flexibility and support for me. I am trained in EMDR Therapy (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), and use Internal Family Systems, Psychodynamic, and Health at Every Size modalities. Being a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) means that I think from a systems perspective and that my values are rooted in Liberation-based, Anti-Racist, and Abolitionist principles. Sessions are anywhere from 50 - 90min.

Gender Affirming Surgery letters may take anywhere from one to two 50-minute sessions to complete and is $75 per session. I’ve taken the GALAP Pledge to provide one free gender affirming letter a month, please reach out to see if this is available.

Sex Therapy

As a Certified Sex Therapist (CST), I provide non-judgmental talk therapy that explores what you most want for yourself. So many of us were raised in a sex-negative, cis/hetero-normative environments focused on becoming sexually “normal.” To explore this, we will use a systems approach to consider the messages you got about sexuality, what blocks this created, and new possibilities to move forward. I use Narrative and Mindfulness-based modalities based in Queer Theory and Intersectional Feminist values, plus a variety of out-of-session exercises designed for self-exploration. Sessions are anywhere from 50 - 90min.

Relationship Therapy

Relationship Therapy is designed for two or more people to deepen their relationship by getting real with one another using brave dialogue and healthy conflict. This approach is sometimes referred to as “Couples Therapy,” however this framing can exclude relationships that are more than two. Relationship Therapy may be helpful for sexual, romantic and/or platonic partners. My practice welcomes all relationship models including those who are polyamorous, monogamous, and beyond. I am trained in the Developmental Model and Emotionally Focused Therapy modalities. Sessions are anywhere from 50 - 90min.

Fee

I am committed to making therapy accessible to people of all incomes. In order to offer a limited number of free/reparations-based and lower-fee sessions, I use a cost-sharing process that asks folx with more financial resources to offset the cost for with fewer. This scale is my baseline fee structure. I have a limited number of sliding scale slots that help prices to slide down. Sliding-scale slots are for clients that hold marginalized identities. The scale may be adjusted to account for (1) debt, (2) dependents, and (3) any other factors that effect access to finances. Please inquire whether I have sliding scale slots open.

Guidelines to Help Determine Access to Sliding Scale Slots

If you live with very little wiggle room financially, have debt, dependents, struggle to pay bills, you should have access to sliding scale services. Please inquire whether I have sliding scale slots open and if not, I’ll do my best to make a referral for you.

If you are doing well enough to regularly eat out, buy new clothes, have no trouble paying your bills or buying groceries, I ask that you follow the community based therapy fee table based on income.

If you are able to schedule vacations/ travel, have investments, assets and/or significant savings, supplemental generational wealth, or if paid work is an option not a necessity, you may want to consider paying above the listed price to offset the cost of someone else’s therapy.

I do not take insurance; however, I can provide you with a receipt or a “superbill” to provide to your insurance company for out-of-network reimbursements. It is the client’s responsibility to look into whether their insurance company will reimburse them for mental health services.

What to Expect

When you reach out, I’ll respond with whether I have openings, and if so, the logistics of what I can provide. If these logistics work for everyone, we will then schedule a 20min consultation to consider whether we’d be a good fit with one another. Finally, I will send you a link to an online portal to complete your intake and have you sign off on documents. In your first session, we will review your intake form and review your therapeutic goals. We will use these initial goals to guide our work together and return to them periodically to ensure we're meeting your needs.

Confidentiality

All topics discussed during sessions are confidential with the exception of danger to someone else or yourself. For your privacy, all teletherapy sessions are conducted on HIPAA-compliant platforms and all therapy notes are encrypted.
